Mitsubishi is heading to the 2012 L.A. Auto Show with the North American debut of its 2014 Outlander model, along with a 2013 Outlander Sport Limited Edition.
The 2014 Outlander will arrive in the U.S. featuring the Japanese automaker’s new version of its advanced MIVEC continuously-variable valve lift timing system to place it among the most fuel-efficient seven-seat compact crossovers. It will also show off the new interior design of the Outlander as well as its new technology such as Forward Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

There will also be a limited edition 2013 Outlander Sport model celebrating Mitsubishi’s 30th anniversary in North America. It’ll feature blackout side mirrors, center bumper, wheel arch trim, and roof rails. The wheels meanwhile will be finished in a dark chrome shade while the body of the vehicle will sport “Limited Edition” badging.
A new engine balancer shaft offers quicker and smoother acceleration while the vehicle maintains 31 mpg on the highway. Finishing off the limited edition Outlander Sport are new six-way adjustable power driver seat, aluminum brake and accelerator pedals, leather parking brake lever, and available two-tone Dove Grey and Black leather seats.
