Mitsubishi has confirmed that the Mirage sedan will be sold in the U.S.
In an interview with Motor Trend, Don Swearingen, Mitsubishi Motors North American executive vice president confirmed that the four-door version of the small car is on its way to our market. The subcompact car has been out performing Mitsubishi’s expectations in the U.S. market and is currently the brand’s second best-selling vehicle. The car may arrive as early as next year, likely as a 2016 model year.

This year will be the first year since the financial crisis of the late 2000’s that Mitsubishi will turn a profit, in no small part thanks to the Mirage. Mitsubishi has already previewed the car here in North America with the Mirage G4 concept, and the brand currently sells the car in worldwide markets as the Attrage.
